Houston has many off leash dog runs operated by the city. Check them out as fun off leash areas for you and your dog. The Houston Dog Park Association has been instrumental in creating and developing dog parks in Harris County and the Houston Area. Alvin may get a new dog park in 2010 in conjunction with the Animal Welfare League and a new animal shelter.
