Hello all, I will be blunt and to the point. The park does need a smaller section for small dogs. The Dog Killed at this park is true but the owners of the dogs were at fault.
I have been bringing my dog here since he was 6 months old, yes, 6 months, but my dog weighed 60 lbs at 6 months old. he could still get attacked but most likely will survive. I solely take the chance when bringing him there but I always survey the yard, watch the dogs interact for a few minutes and then decide if to enter or not. something all dog owners should do. and once inside, to watch your dog at all time as well as other dogs. For the owners who bring kids, it is really not a place for kids to play, so don't let your kids run around inside.
All dog parks can be dangerous due to owners ..... yes Period. Owners.
First once we bring our dogs into a dog park I do not care what you say. You may know your dog outside a pack but when you have more than 1 dog, they go by instinct. One, they will form a pack order, and some may even fight for dominance. (sorry bad speller) So what you think you know you do not know unless you are cezar.. don't think because everyone there is there that their dog will not bite, All animals are animals and can and may one day bite, it may be out of fear, dominance, protecting, the chance is there, please do not blame the parks.
I rate this park a 4 due to size and in general the people are very friendly.
This park is frequented by many overly aggressive dogs. On Saturday 9/27, a small Pomeranian was killed by a greyhound while the owners looked on in horror. Stay away!
