BUYER BEWARE! Great idea but not with the owner, he brags about being a trainer but has NOTHING to back it up!! Since I e-mailed to get more information and it took over a month to hear back i decided to do my own research and have found very scary information about the owner and this facility. Information I have found includes cords on the floor for dogs to chew and numerous dog fights, someone recently got their finger bit off and was taken away by ambulance. The fight was between the two owners dogs-if THEY can't control their dogs why would I pay money to go there? BUYER BEWARE!!! Please, for the sake of your dogs, do your research and protect your dogs!
My dogs LOVE Dog City Dog Park! The members and staff treat my pups like their own. After having a few bad experiences at public parks, I'm happy to have found a safer place for my dogs to play. I will gladly pay the low membership fee, my dogs are worth it. Plus I have a small (6lb) dog, there are 3 sections at Dog City so if I wanted her to be separate from the big dogs, she could be. After getting to know the other members and their dogs, I let her play with dogs of all sizes, there isnt a need to separate. The park is very clean, much more so than any outdoor park I've been to. All the members I have met are wonderful responsible dog people!
My pups have had a wonderful time here all winter and will this spring, summer, and fall too. I care about making sure my dogs have enough physical and mental exercise and Dog City Dog Park is a great place for both. The price is reasonable given that I've been able to bring my dogs there 24/7 and not have to worry about what the weather is doing or about to change to. I love that all dog owners are responsible for their dogs. Other members are watching and expect people to be attentive and clean up.
While dog sitting, I recently took my friends dog to Dog City Dog Park. While there I witnessed messes not being cleaned up expediently, several anti-social dogs, and a lack of responsible management in general. The most amazing thing is that you get all this for a normal rates are $389/year. What a total rip off. When I mentioned it to my friend he said that it was a total waste of money but they cannot get out of the contract. They wish they would have simply stuck with the free local parks that are numerous in this area.
How can any blue collar family in this economy be expected to pay $389/year for poor service, management and conditions when they can get this for free. Further I find it very interesting that all of the local media involving this place neglects to state on the air or in print how expensive this place is. Rediculous.
There are times that some dog owners aren't watching their dogs, leaving them unattended. This has led to problems with their dogs and other dogs.
Not having separate areas, times, or days for only small dogs makes the dog park unsafe for them.
My puppy and I joined today. She absolutely loved it! This isn't just any dog park, the owner evaluates all of the dog's temperament and confirms that all vaccinations are up to date. The best part is that the club is immense and members are held accountable for their dogs.
I highly recommend that anyone with a dog join the club. Not just for the fantastic indoor accommodations, but to experience the owner's ability to interact and understand all of the energy of the canines that walk though the door:)
This is a brand-new indoor/outdoor dog park in a New Hope warehouse with a fenced strip of lawn along the North side. It's not yet in full operation, but plans are to add more space and gear--and the dogs already like it. I stopped in last week with a friend and her two Jack Russell Terrier pups. Greg, the owner, talked with us, showed us around, and introduced us to his and Jennifer's dogs. When he saw that the pups were generally good-natured, he invited them to become members, and they signed up for a 12-month membership. The cost is about the same as a human health club. We're looking forward to "going in for a walk" (instead of "out for a walk") when darkness, cold, or rain would otherwise keep us indoors at home.
