What are te best ties to vsit this park?

We've taken our two small dogs to this parks on weekends, mainly late morning/early afternoon. Usually aren't many other dogs at that time, and the ones we meet are larger dogs. The park is close to us, so we would like to find a better time. It's a nice park, though we've found our dogs do better in the parks with small dog enclosures.

Suitable for small and geriatric dogs, not for large dogs.

This is a good use for land that would otherwise be abandoned. The size makes it unsuitable for large dogs that need/like to run. The park is covered in a bark substrate that helps keep dogs, owners, and cars clean. Great place to play off leash if you live nearby, but don't bother if you have to drive.

Delmas Dog Park

I would like to take the time to say thank you.  For a well thought of Park for a small area.  I took my dog and the people were so friendly.  Owners throwing the ball with all the dogs,  It as a great sight.  No leashes but people were so considerate they had there leashes in hand just in case.  Our dog got worn out as she was busy making new friends, As I see it, people come and go.  The water was a great idea for both pet and owner.  Lots of nice people.  The park was close, no walking to do.  And no fees. I made sure to pick up after my pup.  As others did too. I enjoyed the time.

Review

This dog park was an easement between the freeway and the lightrail tracks.  The fence is about 4 feet from the lightrail track and maybe 10 feet from highway 87.  It is not in a good part of the city and safety is an issue.  There is limited parking on the surrounding residential / commercial neighborhood street.  This park however is one of the few places to take your dog in the general area and has lots of shade trees.  It has more trees than most other parks.  The terrain is dirt and part of the hill leading up the freeway.  It is well fenced.
