The facilities at the park are great. Tables, water for the dogs, shade, etc. The reason for the one-star is that "dog play" is an excuse for wild romp and unacceptable behaviors. I have been going to the park man times over the past few weeks. My dogs have growled at, bitten, obsessively humped, harassed. All that under the watchfull eyes of the other dogs' owners and often offered explanation that "he's is just playing".
The final straw was my dog was rammed over by an overexcited large dog (just playing). Conclusion: a broken toe and torn ligament. If this is dog play, I would rather stay home
We had a fantastic time with the entire family at the park. Our dogs enjoyed a day of free running and playing, while our son was able to play ball, swing and just hang out with other kids. What a great combination for a family day at the parK! LOVED IT!!!!
Had a great time there, will be back soon! Dog loved it
We love this park its not close by like myuki is to us, but our chihuahua loves it here cuz its seperate from thebig guys and he finally has some one to play with
I love this park! I've only taken my dogs two different parks and this one is by far the best one yet. I love how it's well kept and how there is always always lots of dogs for my two to play with. I live in Milpitas and it is defintely worth the drive.
I love love this park...my golden retriever (Cleo) loves this park, too. You meet a lot of nice people. I love it, I am very relaxed when I'm at that park and watching them play...can't say enough about this park.
This dog park was recently opened in July 2007 so it is in tip-top condition. There were still a lot of dogs in the middle of the day just checking it out for the first time. The park is really pretty with gravel paths, new tanbark, and new synthetic grass. The synthetic grass is suppose to drain well in the winter. Most of the other dog parks in the area had planted real grass and have since turned to dirt. The dirt turns to mud in the winter hopefully the artificial lawn will solve these problems without introducing new ones. There is both a big dog enclosure and a small dog enclosure. There are water fountains in both areas. There are benches for the people and lots of big pine trees for shade. Flushing toilets are located in the general park area. Parking is on the street. Camden is a busy street and makes the park noisy; there is more parking on the other residential side streets but this may get rather full in the evening with the apartments nearby.
