Other Notes: Dogs are allowed off leash in the water and wet sand on 3/4 of a mile. Huntington Dog Beach non-profit supports this park. They have three employees which work at Dog Beach to ensure visitor safety, answer questions, and help ensure the beach remains clean.

This beach is always clean, the folks are friendly and seem to have a handle on their dogs. Only problem dogs I have encountered are intact males not under control-peeing on people's stuff, territorial, sometimes aggressive. However, this is not the norm here! The surfers love to play with the dogs too-1 1/2 miles of beach front...awesome!

I love going to this dog beach! It is so much fun and the ocean is beautiful! If you go, remember to bring quarters for parking. My ONLY complaint is to the guests that go there... PLEASE pick up after your dogs and yourselves.

What a fabulous park for pets AND their owners.... glorious sand, sea and sun and the puppies get to enjoy it with you..... my dogs have perpetual smiles on their faces when they are there.... and so do I. -Annette Walbon
