I've seen pictures of this place from a year ago showing it full of grass, but now it's nothing but dirt. There must be no budget to maintain the place.
Turn onto Yorba street from Chapman and go South. Turn into the first driveway. It looks like you are going into a school, which you are, but the dog park is in the back. Just drive to the back and you'll run into it.
Big Dog area has a sand area as well as lots of grass. There is a well shaded area for pooch parents to sit while the pups play. The dogs and people always seem to be very friendly both to people and dogs. I bring my dog at least once a week.
Went there at 9 on a Sunday, September 20th morning. It had as much mud as grass. The mud was up to 2" deep. This was very disappointing to us. Nice, large trees, but the mud really overshadows any positives - at least on the small dog side.
I've seen this park often driving past it, and I recently wanted to take my dog there, but apparently its closed on Wednesdays. But this park looks nice enough and the ares for small dogs has lots of shade. And they have bowls for water. Hopefully it's as great as it looks.
