Bums have taken up residence next to small dog park

If you're going to the small dog park, it's easy to park on Pacific and cross the little bridge. Otherwise you have to park in the parking lot and walk all the way around the big dog park to get there. Lookout for bums sleeping next to the small dog park. Small dog park is somewhat small. Grass is okay. There are about 3 or 4 benches and not much shade. There is also no water for dogs here. Bring your own.

Ever heard of taking them on a walk?

Dog park should not be your dogs only form of exercise. Thank you Fullerton for an incredible park where my dog can play and have fun! This is a great park - mostly friendly and happy people and dogs. Thanks residents and patrons!

Never Open after rain

Here it is Feb. 19, sunny, windy and 70+ degrees and the city says the park is too hazardous to open. Then the parks and rec guy, comes up with the additional "it's hard on the turf". Sorry, but if the city had made the park bigger, they wouldn't have an issue with the turf being overused and "worn out". Just look at Seal Beach. There are a few bare spots, but the great majority of the park has plentiful grass! I don't think the person who determines if the park opens or not, actually comes to see the conditions before making a decision. I'm no longer supporting this parks lame "Board". It looks like I'll be driving to other parks instead of wasting my time walking the two blocks from my house to THIS park.. real straighforward, 'green' thinking city you are, Fullerton. I'm embarrassed to admit I live here. How many other angry dog owners are driving farther to exercise their dogs?

Many parks, none like this.

I have a Chow mix and a 5 month old Keeshond. I have been to dog parks throughout the L.A. and San Francisco area, and this is one of the best I have been too. It's a good size for many dogs with generally friendly, well-behaved dogs. I also favor the people who go here. It's obvious that it is a community where people look after their dog. Like any park, there are annoying people/dogs, but this space has room to play, sit, and wander. A must-visit for people local to this area! Downside: lately it has closed unexpectedly with no way of contacting anyone to find out without driving all the way down there.

my pug

I love taking my little 7 month old pug here, I just think others need to respect others and not let their aggresive dogs attack other dogs that are trying to enjoy their play time. PEOPLE NEED TO READ THE RULES.
