Beware of Dog Fights

Dog parks sometimes get owners who do not want to control their dogs.  Lately, there have been some groups of pit/pit mixes in the Sacramento area causing fights at the dog parks.  Animal Control in the area was notified of the 5 fights in the past 2 weeks.  Whenever you are at the dog park you should have an eye out and be watching your dog.  There are two parks where more fights have been recently in Partner Dog Park and San Combs Dog Park.  We have been informed that in general most injuries occur when small dogs are in the large dog areas.  All cities have animal control which should be notified if there is a bad dog fight or people inciting dogs to fight.
